SGA-Asia got into a casual conversation with the principals of Seaventures diverig in Mabul. They currently noticed an explosion in divers interest in taking macro photography and asked SGA-ASIA to come up with a project with the following objectives
1. Check the health of the Macro Marine Wildlife beneath the rig
2. Gather macro images to be used in collaterals in upcoming dive shows in 2017 and a refresh in online visuals
3. Spot opportunities for growth and find ways how to capture more of the Underwater Macro Photographers clientelle
SGA-ASIA gave back a simple project plan which was
1. Gather some latest macro photography equipment from photo equipment partners to be used to capture what may be found under the rig.
*Macro Photographers are very gear conscious and bringing in new toys gets them excited
2. Bring in a spotter/lightsman ensuring images taken are of the highest quality
3. Craft a narrative to get Macro shooters excited about diving under the rig.
Here were the results of the project which ran for Four Days...
Beyond macro, we also tested new diffusers for wide angle shots using a Canon G!6
